The list of waste codes
Getting started with methanization requires thinking about a well-adapted supply strategy to balance your inputs but also to put in place the right administrative procedures. Indeed, a site that chooses to methanize 100% of plant-based materials will not be subject to the same regulations as a site that uses livestock effluents or animal by-products since these require different treatment.
To methanize SPAN (animal by-products), it is mandatory to obtain health approval . In most cases, it will also be necessary to provide specific equipment to sanitize these materials and thus reduce health risks.
In order to support methanizers in choosing their inputs, a list of waste codes has been created. Consult it below to find out which products you can receive and their corresponding codes (useful in the event of issuing a waste tracking slip):
