Apple pomace is the co-product of apple juice or cider production. It is the solid components left after the fruit has been processed (skin, core, seeds, flesh, etc.) which is composed of approximately 85% water. This is a product that tends to ferment and produce methane quickly, and therefore requires fairly reactive handling after pressing.
